This fall has been beautiful here at the Farm. So much has happened! We have a new baby calf, too many new pigs to count and the pond is really starting to mature. To support all of our farm friends we have made huge progress on our grazing lands and pig enclosure.
We had been keeping a sharp eye on our mama cow at the end of the summer and in late September got serious about the calf watch. Everything went as planned – mother nature has a way of doing that – and we now have our new baby calf.
Just in time, we had expanded our cow fields and done all the clearing and soil prep to keep them happy and healthy.

Our family of pigs keeps growing, and fast! Madera Farm is now several generations into our pig farm. Our pigs are kept free range, with lots of area to spread out, as you can see from our pictures and video.
Here’s a video of one of the pig enclosures and dinner time! The pigs LOVE pumpkins so we bring them in often to supplement their regular diet.
